Do we need Virtual Assistant?

It is something which I stress over and over again. I live in Bangladesh, a small country in Asia. So, it is only natural for tech companies to not think about us when launching new services.

Virtual Assistants are taking over the world. Assistants like Google Assistant, Siri, Alexa and Cortana are said to be super helpful in your day to day life. YouTube reviewers adore them and recommend them for your smart home. What the reviewers don't take into account is that all those helpful assistants only properly work in the US. Here in Bangladesh, all these assistants can do is tell the weather and call or text contacts. These smart and intelligent assistants don't even understand our accents. Hence the second feature for call or texting is a hit and miss.

Hence, I have uninstalled the Google app from my phone. I do not require to allow Google to spy on me, only so that assistant can tell me the weather. Google and other companies are in simple words ripping us off. We keep those apps installed in hopes that it might work, but they will never do.

Because the world is not a fair place. And the little ones will always be picked on. So, I believe it will be in our best interest to only use services which offer us feature parity or at least are actual services, instead of a mechanism to steal sell and earn a boatload of money at zero cost and with ease!

Here we go again!

Hey all! I know that the blog has been literal dead over the past few months, but I have a reason for that. Well let's get into it then, I started the blog with the simple intention of letting people know what I see, use and love! To my surprise, the blog even became quite the hit. Ever since my first post on Baby Driver, I have never looked back. However, I bailed on it right when it was growing at a staggering rate. I stopped posting on the blog and its popularity plummeted. Now I will have to roll my sleeves up and start again. I know I have messed it up and chances are that the blog will never reach its glory days. I guess I will have to try to figure it out, so I had to stop blogging because life really took a sharp turn on me. When I began blogging I was doing my A'Levels. Once I was done with it I had to move on to a University and what a move it turned out to be! Unlike A'Levels I actually had to wake up 6 AM in the morning to attend class. Frequent tests and ...

Spiderman: Homerun

The third reboot of the Spiderman franchise is old news. So is the fact that it was a huge success, but I only got to watch it tonight, Now that I am done watching it, I am going to talk about it. Spiderman homecoming is a good movie. It has a simple story, stellar cast and a director who knows what he is doing. At its core, Spiderman homecoming is a simple coming of age teen flick. And that is what makes Homecoming so good! The movie has very little faults, so let’s get them out of the way first. It lacked action and the soundtrack was average. Done these are my gripes with the movie. Now let’s talk about the good stuff. The movie really fleshes out the characters . Supporting characters like Ned get a lot more screen time then they did on Spiderman’s last outing. Tom Holland is perfectly cast as the web-slinger and for me, he rivals Toby for the best Actor to portray Spidey! For the first time, Spiderman is an actual teen! He has school to deal with and his aunt is not hi...
