So I tried Chrome OS!

Well not exactly Chrome OS. Chromium OS to be exact! Chromium OS is the open source version of Chrome OS.
I have always been attracted to Chrome OS, it looks very simple and is low on the resources. But, I did not like it enough to go ahead and splash $300 on a decent Chromebook just to get a feel for the OS.
After all these years, my dream was finally fulfilled! A company called Neverware allows you to download and install Chromium OS on your PC or Laptop. And install I did!
The first thing which I loved about Chromium was the ability to use it from a thumb drive. Allowing me to get a feel for the OS without really doing anything to my current Windows.
So now let's talk about Chromium, it is simply a browser and nothing else. Just the chrome browser! There is a barebones file manager. I have seen better file manager on my phone than the one in Chromium!
It took me a few hours to miss Windows. I mean it is just not good enough to replace your Pc or Laptop. The first disappointment was the requirement to stay connected to a stable and speedy internet for almost anything! I mean you can literally do nothing here without an internet connection! NOTHING! Next up was the slow and useless media player. Which refused to play any of my offline videos on my hard drive. And the so-called support for Android apps! Well, they are laggy as hell! Chromium or Chrome still has a lot of catching up to do, if it wants to take on Windows or MacOS.
However, there were a few positives from my brief experience with Chrome OS, first of all, the battery life was stellar, to say the least. Also, the UI seemed like an improvement over Windows. Add to that the ability to simply put my thumb drive on anyone's PC and make it my own is sick!
To conclude, I would highly recommend you to avoid Chromebooks or Chrome OS and buy a Windows touting PC or Laptop and if it is not affordable to you, try out Android tablets. They are way more productive and usable than dumb Chromebooks!

Spiderman: Homerun

The third reboot of the Spiderman franchise is old news. So is the fact that it was a huge success, but I only got to watch it tonight, Now that I am done watching it, I am going to talk about it. Spiderman homecoming is a good movie. It has a simple story, stellar cast and a director who knows what he is doing. At its core, Spiderman homecoming is a simple coming of age teen flick. And that is what makes Homecoming so good! The movie has very little faults, so let’s get them out of the way first. It lacked action and the soundtrack was average. Done these are my gripes with the movie. Now let’s talk about the good stuff. The movie really fleshes out the characters . Supporting characters like Ned get a lot more screen time then they did on Spiderman’s last outing. Tom Holland is perfectly cast as the web-slinger and for me, he rivals Toby for the best Actor to portray Spidey! For the first time, Spiderman is an actual teen! He has school to deal with and his aunt is not hi...

Take updates into your own hand !

Windows 10 has the feature of automatically updating your device in such a way that you will not even notice when the update occurred. However, there are times when this seamless feature gets annoying when it seamlessly updates during a game or when you are doing a presentation! Causing reboots or data being lost during the game. What if there was a way to stop those random reboots? Well, there is if you are running Windows 10 Pro or higher. How to prevent automatic updates using the Local Group Policy Editor : If you run Windows 10 Professional, you can use the Local Group Policy Editor to quickly change the settings to prevent Windows 10 from automatically downloading and installing updates. By following these steps: 1. Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command. 2.Type gpedit.msc and click OK to open the Local Group Policy Editor. 3.Browse the following path: Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\W...
